Grant Application Procedures
In order that we might fully consider your request for financial support, the information requirements and guidelines are as follows:
Information Requirements
A letter of request including a general summary of the application is required. A complete proposal includes all of the following information

Legal name and address of applicant organization

Most recent copy of your IRS tax determination letter

Relationship, capacity or title of person signing the application

Date of establishment, brief history, and mission statement

Purpose and amount of grant requested, project budget, substantiation of need and anticipated results.

A list of officers and directors of the organization

Current and/or proposed income and expense budget and balance sheet
Guidelines
Applicant organizations must be classified as 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service and submit evidence of their exempt status. Distributions shall be made only to organizations whose purpose is to enrich the lives of the residents of the State of Colorado and which are delivered within the Colorado State Bank and Trust banking area. This area generally is defined to include the Denver Metropolitan area.
In addition, the Foundation generally will not consider grants to:

Individuals

Endowment funds
-
Cover deficits or retirement of debt

Churches or church projects
-
Schools
-
Hospitals
-
Sponsorship of Special Events
-
Sponsor Tournaments or Tables
Applicants may submit their written request at any time during the year. Our Trustees meet at least quarterly. Application due dates are January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st. Applicants normally should anticipate two to three months for their request to be processed. After our Trustees consider the request, we will notify you of the decision.
The foundation prefers to consider only one request from and organization during any 12-month period (our fiscal year begins July 1st.) Organizations receiving grants should furnish a report on the success of their project, detailing how the funds supplied by the Foundation were used and what results were achieved.
